Responsibilities- Conduct home, school, and office visits to assess the needs of juveniles and provide guidance and support to families.
- Counsel with juveniles, families, and other stakeholders to address behavioral and emotional challenges.
- Develop and implement individualized plans to address the unique needs of each juvenile, including risk assessment and case management.
- Prepare and present court reports and testify in court as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of juvenile interactions and case progress.
- Collaborate with law enforcement, social services, and other community agencies to ensure a comprehensive approach to juvenile justice.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on best practices and industry standards.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as criminal justice or social work.
- 1 year of experience in a related field, preferably in juvenile justice or social services.
- Certified Juvenile Probation Officer certification.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
Fort Bend County offers a competitive salary range of $37.82 hourly, based on experience, as well as additional compensation for state supplement and certification pay. Our employees enjoy a wide range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
