Job Overview

MK Services is expanding and is in search of a dedicated CNC Mill Setup/Operator for the 1st shift. This position plays a crucial role in the setup, operation, and upkeep of CNC milling machines, ensuring the production of high-precision components tailored for the aerospace and defense sectors.

Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Setup and Operation:
  • Interpret and analyze blueprints with GD&T specifications.
  • Configure CNC milling machines by installing and aligning necessary fixtures and tooling.
  • Manage the loading and unloading of raw materials and finished components.
  • Operate machinery to execute tasks such as drilling, milling, and cutting.
  • Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain accuracy and quality standards.
  • Understand and apply technical drawings and specifications.
Quality Assurance:
  • Perform in-process inspections and final quality assessments on machined components.
  • Utilize precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Diagnose and resolve any issues related to machine functionality or product quality.
Maintenance and Safety:
  • Conduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure peak performance.
  • Keep a clean and organized workspace.
  • Follow safety protocols and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE).
QualificationsEducation:
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Vocational training is advantageous.
Experience:
  • 1-3 years of experience in CNC machining, particularly with milling machines.
  • Experience in the aerospace and defense industries is preferred.
Skills:
  • Proficient in CNC operations.
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes, materials, and tooling.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints with GD&T.
Physical Requirements:
  • Capability to lift and maneuver heavy materials.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, high-precision environment.
