This position demands a comprehensive knowledge of CNC machinery, technical schematics, and CAD/CAM software.
Key Responsibilities- Programming: Develop and enhance CNC programs for milling machines to fabricate intricate parts and components.
- Technical Interpretation: Analyze and interpret technical blueprints and engineering drawings to ascertain project specifications.
- Tool Selection: Identify suitable tools, machines, and materials for each task.
- Testing and Adjustment: Conduct tests on programs and implement necessary modifications to optimize efficiency and quality.
- Collaboration: Partner with engineers and machinists to assess project needs and address challenges related to machine setup and program functionality.
- Documentation: Keep detailed records and documentation regarding machine specifications and programming notes.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and standards in the workplace.
- Continuous Improvement: Remain informed about the latest software advancements and participate in training for new equipment.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree in CNC programming, machine tool technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
