Job Overview

MK Services is seeking a skilled CNC Swiss Machine Programmer / Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This role involves programming, setting up, and supervising the operation of CNC Swiss machinery to produce high-precision components, particularly for the aerospace and defense sectors, while upholding exceptional standards of quality and efficiency.

Key ResponsibilitiesProgramming and Setup:
  • Create and refine CNC programs for Swiss-style lathes utilizing Part Maker.
  • Configure machines by selecting and installing the necessary tooling.
  • Modify machine settings to align with specific job requirements.
Leadership and Supervision:
  • Oversee and guide a team of machinists and operators.
  • Educate and mentor team members on industry best practices and safety measures.
  • Organize and manage daily production tasks.
Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct quality inspections on finished products to verify adherence to specifications.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to machine performance or product quality.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of production and quality metrics.
Process Enhancement:
  • Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize manufacturing workflows.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in CNC technology and machining methods.
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Prepare and uphold documentation for CNC programs, machine setups, and production runs.
  • Generate performance reports covering output, quality, and downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
QualificationsEducation:
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • An associate's degree in CNC programming, machining, or a related discipline is preferred.
Experience:
  • At least 5 years of experience in CNC programming and machining, particularly with Swiss-style lathes.
  • Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting, ideally within aerospace and defense.
  • Proficiency in CNC programming software and CAD/CAM systems, preferably Part Maker.
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes, materials, and tooling.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
