MK Services in Middleton, MA is looking to add a Preventative Maintenance Technician to our 1st shift staff
The CNC Preventative Maintenance Technician, alongside the Maintenance Manager, is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of CNC machinery. This role involves performing preventative maintenance and help diagnose and repair equipment. The technician will also maintain records of maintenance and follow all safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Preventative Maintenance: Follow preventative maintenance schedules for CNC machinery and related equipment. Maintain clean oil levels, clean the machine to remove dust and debris, lubricate moving parts, and check worn-out or damaged cutting tools.
- Equipment Inspection: Regularly inspect the condition of equipment and perform necessary maintenance according to warranty agreements.
- Parts Replacement: Work with the Maintenance Manager to replace defective parts as needed to ensure minimal downtime.
- Collaboration: Work with Maintenance Manager to coordinate repairs and maintenance activities.
- Record Keeping: Track and log work orders, maintenance activities, and equipment performance.
- Utility Equipment Maintenance: Maintain utility equipment such as AC units, compressors, and bay doors, and coordinate with contractors for repairs and quotes.
- Building Maintenance: Clean shop floor of debris, snow removal on sidewalks and driveway, replace lights, and other building needs.
- Safety and Cleanliness: Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and orderly workstation.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certifications in CNC maintenance is preferred.
Experience:
2 years of experience in CNC equipment maintenance and repair preferred but not necessary to be considered.
Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Physical ability to lift moderate to heavy objects and stand or walk for most of the shift.
