Job Summary

The Slabe Machine Products is seeking a skilled Preventative Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our CNC machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for CNC machinery and related equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Equipment Inspection: Regularly inspect the condition of equipment and perform necessary maintenance according to warranty agreements, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Parts Replacement: Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to replace defective parts as needed, minimizing downtime and ensuring equipment reliability.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to coordinate repairs and maintenance activities, ensuring seamless execution and optimal results.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of work orders, maintenance activities, and equipment performance, providing valuable insights for future improvements.
  • Utility Equipment Maintenance: Maintain utility equipment such as AC units, compressors, and bay doors, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Building Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and healthy work environment, including snow removal, light replacement, and other building needs.
  • Safety and Cleanliness: Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and orderly workstation, promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certifications in CNC maintenance is preferred.
  • Experience: 2 years of experience in CNC equipment maintenance and repair preferred but not necessary to be considered.
  • Skills:
    • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
    • Basic computer skills.
    • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.
    • Physical ability to lift moderate to heavy objects and stand or walk for most of the shift.
