Executive Director, APS Support Services

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Director to lead our APS Support Services division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the direction, administration, and effective functioning of our division.
Key Responsibilities- Implement policies and procedures for the operations of our units, including IT, Financial Management Services, Contracts, Quality Assurance & Internal Audit, and Administrative Services.
- Monitor the performance of our units and oversee the coordination of activities among them.
- Serve as a chief advisor to the APS Deputy Commissioner on all matters related to APS Support Services.
- Represent the APS Deputy Commissioner at executive-level meetings and local, State, and national conferences.
- Collaborate with MIS and other business partners to develop and implement various APSNet phases.
- Oversee the operations of the Financial Management Unit (FMU) and ensure fiscal integrity in the management of client accounts.
- Ensure the timely and accurate issuance of monthly checks for clients' budgeted expenses.
- Interact with other executive staff within HRA, the New York City Department of Finance, the Social Security Administration, and commercial banking institutions.
- A master's degree from an accredited college in economics, finance, accounting, business, or public administration, human resources management, management science, operations research, organizational behavior, industrial psychology, statistics, personnel administration, labor relations, psychology, sociology, human resources development, political science, urban studies, or a closely related field.
- Two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in one or a combination of the following areas: budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, fiscal or economic research, management or methods analysis, operations research, organizational research, program evaluation, personnel or public administration, recruitment, position classification, personnel relations, employee benefits, staff development, employment program planning/administration, labor market research, economic planning, social services program planning/evaluation, or fiscal management.
- 18 months of this experience must have been in an executive, managerial, administrative, or supervisory capacity, including supervising staff performing professional work in the areas described above.
