Job Summary
The City of New York is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead the APS Support Services division. As a key member of the Adult Protective Services team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and direction of the division's activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative oversight and guidance to the division's units, ensuring effective support to the APS program.
- Maintain cooperative working relationships with various agencies, including HRA Training, New York State OCFS, and Brookdale Center on Aging.
- Oversee the implementation of corrective actions to improve operational efficiency and compliance with state mandates.
- Participate in the development and implementation of program policies and procedures to strengthen social services delivery.
- Ensure fiscal integrity in the management of client accounts and oversee the operations of the Financial Management Unit.
- Collaborate with MIS and other business partners to develop and implement APSNet phases.
- Represent the agency at internal and external meetings, interpreting APS policy and procedures.
Requirements
- A master's degree in a relevant field, such as economics, finance, or public administration, and two years of professional experience in executive, managerial, or supervisory roles.
- Or, a baccalaureate degree and four years of professional experience in relevant areas, including 18 months of executive, managerial, or supervisory experience.
