Job Title: Maintenance Coordinator

At Hammond Glen IL, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our community facilities, including buildings, grounds, and equipment.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, inspecting facilities, and coordinating repairs and maintenance activities. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs, replacements, and preventative maintenance
  • Inspect facilities to identify potential maintenance issues and develop plans to address them
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to schedule and complete maintenance and repair work
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and equipment maintenance
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless maintenance operations and minimize disruptions to residents and staff
  • Provide training and guidance to maintenance staff on new procedures and equipment
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in maintenance and repair
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Minimum of two years' experience in maintenance and repair, preferably in a community or residential setting
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance and repair principles, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required
Working Conditions

The Maintenance Coordinator will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to physical demands, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods. The role requires the ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and to wear personal protective equipment as needed.
