Overview:
Mountaineer Gas Company is the largest natural gas distribution company in West Virginia, serving over 220,000 customers and employing 450 staff members. We maintain close to 6,000 miles of pipeline and cover fifty counties in the state.
About the Job:
We are currently seeking a Natural Gas Systems Dispatcher for our Charleston office in West Virginia. This role will be responsible for dispatching field operations personnel to respond to customer calls and managing orders and customer contact requests.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer calls and dispatch field operations personnel accordingly.
- Determine accurate location and event details to communicate with responding staff for priority (PRs) and no gas calls.
- Sort and distribute orders and customer contact requests received from the call center to the corresponding operations area.
- Accurately document communications and account information with internal and external customers on issues related to natural gas system maintenance and operation.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Computer skills for data entry and information retrieval tasks are necessary.
- Tact and diplomacy are required when dealing with difficult customer interactions.
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Subject to working 12 hour rotating shifts within a 24/7 operations environment including holidays.
- Five years of related work experience or a related degree are required.
Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year.
