Job Title: Mammography Technologist II- Imaging

Job Summary:

Sutter Health is seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist II- Imaging to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized breast procedures to produce high-quality images for physicians and other healthcare providers.

Responsibilities:

  • Competently perform routine and specialized breast procedures to produce quality images.
  • Work independently, exercising sound judgment, and develop clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures.
  • Gain confidence and cooperation from patients, their families/support groups, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication.
  • Adhere to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care.
  • May also be responsible for performing procedures and/or orienting other staff to the department.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program.
  • CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist Upon Hire.
  • RHM-Radiology Mammography Upon Hire.
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Upon Hire.
  • 2 years recent relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • General knowledge of diagnostic mammography principles, procedures, views, and equipment.
  • Capable of performing routine mammographic examinations as well as a basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and related information systems (Radiology (RIS), laboratory (LIS), electronic health records (EHR), EPIC, and picture archive and communication system (PACS)).

Work Environment:

This is a per diem/casual position with variable shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends. The salary range for this role is $66.01 to $82.50 per hour, with the possibility of a comprehensive benefits package.
