Job Summary

Under the direction of the Team Captains, the Guest Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms, responding to guest requests, and reporting any necessary repairs or maintenance issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean assigned guest rooms within the prescribed time frame, including toilets, floors, mirrors, and glass, bathtubs and showers, sinks, furniture, and countertops.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests, such as special cleaning times and delivering extra towels.
  • Check all lamps and fixtures for burned-out bulbs and ensure that TVs and radios are in proper working condition, reporting any necessary maintenance to the supervisor.
  • Inspect all plumbing fixtures to ensure normal leak-free operation.
  • Remove room service dishes from guest rooms for prompt pick-up.
  • Secure and return hotel passkeys and room keys for each day worked, as well as room keys found in checked-out rooms.
  • Arrange guest room furnishings and supplies according to departmental specifications.
  • Attend department meetings as required by management.
  • Complete training on Bloodborne Pathogens procedures.
  • Understand and follow the Trailblazer Guide, Housekeeping Manual, and Emergency/Evacuation procedures.
  • Exemplify the company's core values, family-style service, mission, and vision.
  • Exemplify the company's DEI culture.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to understand and comply with all company and departmental rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and guests.
  • Ability to read and communicate verbally in English and Spanish.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
  • Possess initiative and a high energy level.
  • Knowledge of chemical use, OSHA regulations, and Biohazard clean-up procedures.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
Work Environment

The Guest Room Attendant will work in a fast-paced environment, performing tasks that may require standing, walking, pushing/pulling over 100 lbs, repetitive use of both hands, and near/far visual acuity. The position may also require occasional reaching overhead and bending over from floor to 6ft, lifting of 10 lbs or less, and seldom requires sitting, crouching, kneeling, crawling, climbing, and balancing.

  • Easygoing demeanor to ensure a fun and safe environment for guests.
  • Above-average speech, both speaking and reading/writing English.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
