Job Summary

As an Occupational Health Nurse at Mindlance, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our employees. This position requires a strong background in occupational health nursing, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate care for occupational injury and illness cases, including assessment of health needs, development of treatment plans, and facilitation of medical services.
  • Collaborate with management to ensure appropriate work-related accommodations, restrictions, and rehabilitation needs.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records for current and separated employees.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the leave of absence and workers' compensation programs.
  • Conduct periodic workplace walkthrough assessments to identify potential hazards and develop risk reduction strategies.
  • Assess employee fitness for duty based on physical capacity standards and job requirements.
  • Develop and maintain written policies, procedures, and protocols for Occupational Health to promote standardization of care and quality assurance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and Certification in Occupational Health Nursing preferred.
  • Licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Texas.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in occupational and environmental health nursing.
  • Strong knowledge of medical record keeping, case management, and regulatory standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in conditions of frequent interruption.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Work Environment

The Occupational Health Nurse will work in a fast-paced clinic/office environment with multiple interruptions. The position requires the ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and on-call shifts. The nurse will also enter manufacturing and cleanroom areas, and must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted.
