Director of Alumni Engagement

The Director of Alumni Engagement is a key member of the Advancement team at Baltimore City Community College, responsible for executing the college's alumni engagement strategy.
This role reports to the Vice President of Advancement and supports the President in matters related to alumni relations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement alumni engagement initiatives to meet strategic plan goals, including increasing the number of alumni volunteers and donors.
- Serve as the liaison and guide to the Baltimore City Community College Alumni Association, partnering to expand alumni engagement.
- Ensure effective coordination with internal teams related to alumni relations.
- Collaborate with the Advancement team to promote contribution campaigns.
- Establish and maintain strong, mutually beneficial relationships with alumni and external contacts.
- Maintain accurate and orderly alumni records.
- Manage the execution, direction, and coordination of all alumni events, including association meetings, reunions, and open houses.
- Collaborate with the Director of Development to manage various alumni events.
- Manage a portfolio of sponsors and corporate partners supporting alumni events and initiatives.
- Meet quantifiable goals and objectives.
- Represent the college and build relationships with donors, prospects, and alumni throughout the Baltimore Metro area.
- Coordinate with the Development and Marketing Director on consistent messaging and branding for the college.
- Collaborate with the Development Team to contribute to the success of fundraising and special events.
- Perform fundraising activities to support the advancement of the college's mission and program objectives.
- 5 years of experience in alumni relations and external relations, with prior experience in higher education preferred.
- Strong organizational and persuasive communication skills.
- Effective time management skills.
- Successful execution of projects in a timely manner.
- Functional skills with Windows, Microsoft Office, alumni software, and data management software.
- Commitment to the college's mission and values.
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field, or a bachelor's degree in any field with community networking experience. Master's degree preferred. Valid driver's license.
