Job Summary:


The Head of Investigations and Concerns Management is tasked with supervising and directing all facets of the company's inquiries into compliance-related issues. This role also involves aiding in the formulation, execution, and management of a robust compliance program that aligns with the organization's goals.

This position requires leading a team of investigators, ensuring that inquiries are conducted thoroughly and promptly, and establishing effective processes for managing concerns. The Head of Investigations and Concerns Management will report directly to the Chief Compliance & Cybersecurity Officer and collaborate closely with other senior executives to uphold and enhance the company's compliance framework.


Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:
Direct and oversee the Investigations and Concerns Management team.

Provide mentorship, support, and professional growth opportunities for team members.

Formulate and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of investigations and concerns management.

Investigations:
Supervise the planning, execution, and resolution of internal investigations concerning compliance matters, including fraud, misconduct, and regulatory violations.

Ensure that investigations are conducted thoroughly, impartially, and in a timely manner.

Work in partnership with legal, HR, and other pertinent departments during investigations.

Compile detailed investigation reports and present findings to senior management.

Concerns Management:


Create and maintain a comprehensive concerns management system to guarantee that all compliance-related issues are documented, evaluated, and addressed appropriately.

Ensure that the concerns management process is accessible, confidential, and encourages reporting from all organizational levels.


Monitor trends and patterns in reported concerns to identify potential risks and areas for enhancement.

Implement corrective actions and preventive measures based on investigation findings and identified risks.

Policy and Procedure Development:


Develop, review, and update policies and procedures related to investigations and concerns management to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.

Ensure effective communication of all policies and procedures throughout the organization.



Compliance and Risk Management:


Collaborate closely with the Chief Compliance & Cybersecurity Officer to integrate investigations and concerns management into the overall compliance and risk management framework.

Assist in the development and implementation of compliance training initiatives.


Participate in risk assessments and contribute to mitigation strategies.

Reporting and Communication:


Prepare regular updates on investigation and concerns management activities for the Chief Compliance & Cybersecurity Officer and other senior leaders.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.


Represent the company in external discussions related to investigations and compliance as necessary.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience Required:
A Bachelor's degree in Law, Human Resources, Finance, or a related discipline is required; an advanced degree is preferred.

Professional certification in compliance, investigations, or related fields (e.g., CFE, CIA) is highly desirable.

A minimum of 10 years of experience in compliance, investigations, or a related area is essential.

Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in investigations and concerns management.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Detail-oriented with the capacity to manage complex investigations.
