Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse/Clinical Research Coordinator to join our team at the University of New Mexico. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing clinical research studies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage clinical research studies, including screening and recruitment of potential study candidates, data collection and entry, and reporting of protocol deviations and adverse events.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including IRB approval documents, FDA and other study regulators' requirements, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide exceptional patient care, including educating staff regarding protocols, ensuring compliance with established research standards, and coordinating services with other departments and agencies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with investigators, clinical personnel, ancillary departments, research subjects, sponsoring organizations, and regulating bodies.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Nursing; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • State of New Mexico Licensed Registered Nurse or licensure pending as documented by temporary licensure OR current RN licensure from a state participating in the multistate privilege to practice compact with New Mexico.
  • Preferred qualifications include at least 3 years clinical experience in Neonatal or Pediatric ICU, experience with quality improvement and research management, and bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.
