Job Summary

The Facility Manager at Roberts Resorts & Communities oversees the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the resort's infrastructure, including utilities, grounds, and amenities. This role ensures the resort remains in top operating condition, coordinating routine maintenance and emergency repairs as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and prioritize daily maintenance work for the maintenance team.
  • Ensure the efficient completion of assigned work orders.
  • Oversee maintenance projects and manage on-site contractors.
  • Establish emergency maintenance protocols.
  • Assist in all aspects of resort maintenance and repair of grounds, facilities, amenities, and utility systems.
  • Perform duties in a safe manner, adhering to health, safety, and OSHA standards.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of community vehicles and equipment.
  • Ensure safe storage of hazardous chemicals and equipment.
  • Maintain inventory of equipment, tools, and supplies.
  • Conduct regular inspections of RV guest sites and issue rule reminders and violation notices.
  • Participate in the selection of contractual services as needed.
  • Assist the community manager with capital expenditures and budget variances.
  • Ensure adherence to company operating procedures.
  • Manage the maintenance budget.

  • Maintenance Management: Establish, prioritize, and oversee daily maintenance tasks.
  • Facility Maintenance Expertise: Experienced in ground and facility maintenance, including repair of amenities and utility systems.
  • Compliance and Safety: Adhere to health, safety, and OSHA standards.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of equipment, tools, and supplies.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Collaborate with the General Manager to establish maintenance schedules and emergency protocols.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Bilingual - Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • CPO certification and LP certification preferred.
  • Prior experience in a leadership role.
  • Prior experience with plumbing, HVAC, and maintenance preferred.
  • MH & RV housing experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with common maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and OSHA standards preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays if necessary.

Physical Requirements:

  • Constantly stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, bend, and kneel.
  • Manual dexterity for using facility equipment.
  • Clear vision and hearing to communicate effectively.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
