Job Title: Director of Engineering

Electronic Arts is seeking a highly skilled Director of Engineering to lead our AdTech platform team. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for driving the technical direction of our AdTech platform and ensuring its scalability, reliability, and performance.

About the Role:

We are looking for a seasoned engineering leader with a strong background in software engineering, team management, and technical architecture. You will be responsible for:

  • Leading a team of 4-5 engineers, with a goal of growing to 10+ engineers
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline the Ads workflow
  • Evaluating vendor solutions to achieve engineering and business goals
  • Developing key components of the Ads lifecycle, including ads network connection, ads marketplace, data exchange, funnel analysis, measurement, and reporting
  • Working with massive data sets from 20+ game studios to promote a data-driven decision-making process and experimentation culture
  • Driving e2e solutions to meet the requirements of Game Studios, Experience, and Brand organizations
  • Ensuring compliance with Legal and Privacy teams
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, or relevant experience
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with 5+ years of experience in managing engineering teams
  • Experience with managing a team of 10+ engineers
  • Domain knowledge of the Ads industry, including the ads lifecycle
  • Experience with vendor solutions (DSP, SSP, DMP), knowledge of industry-leading solutions and tradeoffs among them
  • Competencies in algorithms, data structures, and software design
  • Experience building distributed systems to serve concurrent requests on a massive scale
  • Experience working with multi-cloud architectures to manage data pipelines across vendors
  • Experience working with online & offline databases, including columnar databases, relational databases or document databases
  • Experience working with Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Storm, Flink, Presto, or other data streaming and processing systems
  • Experience leading projects to deliver impactful customer experiences
