POSITION: FAMILY SERVICES ENROLLMENT COORDINATOR

Location: Los Angeles, CA - Onsite

Position Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Family Services Enrollment Coordinator. In this role, you will work with minimal supervision to assess family eligibility and assist parents who qualify for California's subsidized child care programs in accessing necessary services. This essential role involves managing cases and overseeing the certification and re-certification processes for family eligibility. Responsibilities include certifying and authorizing care hours, updating family records, approving modifications, and issuing referrals as required. You will also provide exceptional customer service to clients and internal departments while ensuring accurate and timely data entry. Conducting childcare orientations at various county/government offices and performing site visits are also part of your duties. Additional responsibilities include outreach activities and representing the agency at community events.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Facilitate initial requests for childcare and assist parents and providers in completing applications.
  2. Ensure program compliance and verify that documentation is accurate and complete.
  3. Evaluate eligibility and manage the enrollment of families eligible for subsidized child care.
  4. Address inquiries from staff and parents regarding information or services; provide supportive and referral services related to child care options and community resources.
  5. Conduct childcare orientations at county/government offices and act as a liaison with partner agencies.
  6. Perform data entry for initial enrollments and maintain client files.
  7. Engage in outreach initiatives at job fairs and other relevant events.
  8. Conduct regular site visits to various locations.
  9. Prepare monthly statistical reports on activities.
  10. Represent the agency at community events and participate in work groups, committees, and ad hoc groups.
  11. Meet specific performance standards set for the respective unit or department.
  12. Complete other tasks as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • At least two years of experience in case management or client/vendor management within a human services or child development context.
  • B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited university or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient customer service skills with experience serving a diverse clientele.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to apply program guidelines and adhere to procedures.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight, demonstrating strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities.

Special Requirements:

  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License.
  • Must have access to a vehicle with appropriate insurance.
