Position: Onsite EAP Counselor - Temporary Role

The Onsite EAP Counselor position presents a unique opportunity to deliver EAP counseling, management consultations, program promotion, critical incident response, and training to employees, as well as manage mandatory referrals and conduct readiness assessments. This role will involve consulting with HR and program managers on workplace and organizational matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-site assistance to managers and team members at the customer location, totaling 24 hours during standard business hours.
  • Offer management consultation to enhance employee well-being and workplace productivity.
  • Conduct assessments to establish Service Agreements and Recovery Plans for referred employees.
  • Oversee employee participation in the mandatory referral process.
  • Deliver critical incident response services.
  • Facilitate training sessions and promote Spring Health benefits.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the customer benefit ecosystem and available support programs.
  • Provide solution-focused mental health counseling and connect employees to appropriate resources.
  • Complete necessary internal training and participate in clinical team meetings.
  • Adhere to Spring Health policies while maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
  • Assess risk and manage crises by providing immediate support and follow-up.
  • Identify and resolve issues that may impede care delivery, with leadership support.
  • Maintain accurate documentation to meet risk management and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Psychologist with a minimum of 3 years of experience (independent licensure required).
  • Experience in Employee Assistance Programs (EAP).
  • Preferred qualifications include SAP certification and CEAP certification.
  • Experience in supervisory roles and collaboration with management and HR professionals is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience with substance use disorders (SUD).
  • Experience working with diverse populations is preferred; bilingual candidates are encouraged.
  • Familiarity with healthcare settings and community resources.
  • Proficient in technology and comfortable with new platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Trained in management consultation, critical incident response, and EAP presentations.
  • Experience in evidence-based care modalities, including short-term, solution-focused therapy.
  • Comfortable with safety planning and intervention in high-risk situations.
  • Committed to high-quality documentation of service delivery.
  • Ability to work independently while valuing team support and collaboration.

The target hourly range for this position is $60-$85/hr. Individual pay may vary based on experience, location, and other relevant factors.
