About the Role

The Full Time Cook will be responsible for menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management. You will work closely with our nursing staff and other team members to ensure that all meals meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents. Your attention to detail, creativity, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential in delivering exceptional care and service.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook kosher meals for residents, adhering to dietary restrictions and preferences
  • Plan and implement menus that cater to the diverse needs of our residents
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory, ordering, and sanitation
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and other team members to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols
Requirements
  • 2+ years of cooking experience, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting
  • Knowledge of kosher dietary restrictions and preparation methods
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and vendors
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification a plus
