Job Title: Registered Nurse - Keck Medicine of USC

Keck Medicine of USC is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse at Keck Medicine of USC, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of nursing practice.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to patients of all ages, from infants to geriatric patients, in a variety of settings, including medical-surgical, critical care, and emergency departments.
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized plans of care to meet those needs, in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health and wellness and empowering them to take an active role in their care.
Requirements:
  • Current California RN license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound judgments and decisions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Specialty certification in a relevant area, such as critical care or pediatrics.
  • Experience working in a Magnet-designated hospital.
  • Leadership experience, with a track record of success in leading teams and improving patient outcomes.
