Position Overview

Job Responsibilities:


We are in search of a dedicated and knowledgeable individual to fill the role of Fire Life Safety Inspector or Service Technician. This position involves travel and requires working in an industrial environment with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

You will be tasked with the inspection, servicing, and upkeep of fire protection systems, which include fire alarms, sprinklers, and other related apparatus.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of fire safety regulations and standards, with NICET certifications in either sprinkler or fire alarm being highly desirable.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections of fire protection systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
  • Perform regular maintenance and servicing on fire safety equipment, including fire alarms, sprinklers, and Silent Knight systems.
  • Identify potential fire risks and implement necessary corrective actions.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive inspection reports and documentation.
  • Collaborate with construction teams to incorporate fire safety measures into project plans.
  • Provide training and support to construction personnel on fire safety best practices.
  • Stay informed about the latest fire safety regulations, standards, and technologies.
  • Respond swiftly to emergencies and issues related to fire safety.
  • Work in conjunction with local fire departments and regulatory bodies as needed.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in Fire Protection, Inspections, and Service within the construction sector.
  • NICET certification and familiarity with NFPA standards.
  • Proficient in operating fire alarm systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of fire alarm systems, fire sprinklers, and other fire safety equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify fire hazards and implement corrective measures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond to emergencies promptly.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
