We are currently in search of a proficient and seasoned Global Controller to join our finance division. As a key member of our financial team, you will manage our financial operations, lead a team of dedicated accounting professionals, and drive strategic initiatives to ensure our organization's ongoing success during this period of growth and expansion.


In the role of Global Controller, you will oversee our legal entities in Germany, the UK, and China, while also providing ongoing support for M&A activities aimed at future growth.

Experience in managing international entities with distinct accounting and local requirements, including the oversight of accounting resources while ensuring tax compliance, is crucial for this position.

Moreover, the ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of ERP system integration and optimization, utilizing this expertise to enhance processes and maximize efficiency throughout the finance function.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute financial strategies that align with the company's business goals.


Collaborate with department leaders under the guidance of the CFO to create and implement budgets and departmental reporting, including business unit level reporting, monthly budget comparisons, etc.

Identify opportunities for increased efficiency and work with internal teams to automate and refine processes.


Lead the integration of accounting and finance functions during M&A activities, including the coordination of valuation engagements, purchase price allocations, and related accounting practices.

Mentor and train finance team members to ensure a high level of competency and efficiency.

Oversee the preparation, analysis, and interpretation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, and tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.

Manage lender reporting obligations, including the preparation of quarterly compliance certificates, monitoring debt covenants, and related responsibilities.

Prepare and coordinate external audits and manage other professional engagements, including i) annual financial statement audits, ii) corporate taxes, iii) annual R&D tax credit studies, iv) and other financial and accounting professional engagements as necessary.

Monitor cash flow and provide regular updates to the executive team.

Oversee the accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and payroll departments and functions.

Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in accounting and finance roles, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership or managerial position.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.

Extensive experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Sage, etc.), including implementation and integration projects; direct experience with system conversions is preferred.

Strong understanding of international accounting principles and experience managing and consolidating international subsidiaries.

Experience in a high-volume transaction environment (e.g., e-commerce) is preferred.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Proven track record of building and developing teams, driving process improvement initiatives, and delivering results in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
