Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified individual for the role of Psychologist II, specializing in forensic psychology. This position plays a crucial role in delivering comprehensive psychological services to individuals adjudicated Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity (NGRI).
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychological evaluations and ongoing assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions focused on risk management and treatment objectives.
- Provide expert consultation and contribute to program development initiatives.
- Supervise and mentor psychology interns and practicum students.
Minimum Qualifications
A Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology is mandatory. Candidates must also be eligible for licensure as a Clinical Psychologist in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Preferred Qualifications
Licensure as a Clinical Psychologist in Virginia is highly desirable. Additional training in forensic psychology is also preferred.
Work Environment
This role is considered essential personnel, requiring flexibility to work during emergencies, including nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
