Counselor II

We are seeking a highly skilled Counselor II to join our team at Eastern State Hospital. As a Counselor II, you will provide direct psychological treatment services to patients, including comprehensive initial and annual assessments, restoration to competency services, treatment planning services, and psychotherapy groups.

• Provide direct psychological treatment services to patients, including comprehensive initial and annual assessments, restoration to competency services, treatment planning services, and psychotherapy groups.
• Work closely with forensic populations, particularly those found incompetent to stand trial and ordered for restoration, as well as those ordered for forensic evaluation.
• Develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of patients.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
• Supervise and train students (practicum and intern) as needed.

• Master's degree in Psychology or related field.
• Licensed or license eligible as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
• Experience with severe and acute mental illness.
• Preferred qualifications include experience with forensic populations, a doctoral degree in Psychology, and licensure as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist.
