Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Stony Brook University Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating computed tomography (CT) scanners to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CT scanners to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes
  • Maintain and exhibit behavior that promotes patient confidence and trust
  • Capable of working independently/unsupervised
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the performance of CT imaging exams
  • Assess the physical needs of adult and geriatric patients
  • Address the special needs of each age group served and assist in making reasonable accommodations for patients with disabilities
  • Observe Bio-Safety and Radiation safety rules and regulations
  • Perform related duties in PACS
  • Responsible for knowing and adhering to established hospital/department policies and procedures, including all aspects of safety
Requirements
  • High School Diploma required
  • Graduate of a Radiology Program
  • ARRT/NYSDOH License
  • Certified to inject with BLS (preferred)
  • CT Certification (preferred)
