Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Stony Brook University. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our medical imaging department.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physicians.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of ultrasound technology and its applications.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Adhere to hospital and department policies, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
- High School Diploma required.
- Graduate of a program in Ultrasound Technology.
- License/Certification: Certification in Ultrasound or eligible.
- ARDMS or ARRT Certification within 6 months of hire required.
