The G90 Urology/Medical-Surgical Telemetry Unit is focused on the care of post-operative urology patients and overflow surgical cases, emphasizing effective pain management, restoration of bowel and bladder function, DVT prevention, and patient mobilization.
Our patient demographic spans from young adults to seniors, with the average age being around 65 years.
Key procedures performed in this unit include partial nephrectomy, radical nephrectomy, radical prostatectomy, treatment of urolithiasis, and cystectomy with both continent and incontinent urinary diversions.
As a Registered Nurse (RN), your responsibilities will encompass:
- Delivering direct nursing care in alignment with established protocols.
- Implementing and overseeing patient care plans.
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Assessing and coordinating discharge plans for patients.
- Monitoring, documenting, and communicating patient conditions effectively.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care following established policies and procedures.
- Monitor and document patient conditions and care effectiveness.
- Coordinate care among various healthcare disciplines.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing protocols.
- Assess educational needs of patients and provide appropriate teaching.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
Work Experience:
- Minimum one year of acute care RN experience in a hospital setting is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform a full range of motion, including lifting and handling patients.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
