Surgical Urology Nurse

Cleveland Clinic's G90 Urology/Medical-Surgical Telemetry Unit is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide direct nursing care to post-operative urology and overflow surgical patients, focusing on pain control, return of bowel and bladder function, DVT prevention, and ambulation.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients, including administering medication and treatments, assessing and coordinating patients' discharge plans, and monitoring and recording patients' conditions.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring the highest level of care and patient satisfaction.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs, ensuring a smooth transition to home or further care.
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- At least two years of recent nursing experience, with consideration given to military RN experience.
- Successfully pass all prescreen competency assessments.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
- Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
- Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
