Job Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable individual to join our Finance team as a Part-Time Contract Accountant. This role will primarily focus on processing accounts payable transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting other accounting functions as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process accounts payable invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Verify invoice accuracy and obtain necessary approvals for payment.
  • Help to prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers.
  • Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Provide support for other accounting functions, such as accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and financial analysis, as needed.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, G Suite, and accounting software (Tipalti and/or Sage Intacct).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with HR software such as Rippling.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • New Orleans based with ability to come into office.
  • Someone looking to grow with us and transition to an in-house role as we expand.
