Job Title: Generator Specialist

Job Summary:

KBR Government Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Generator Specialist to join our team. As a Generator Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting the General Foreman in identifying key success factors for the Power Generation crew, developing organizational structure and processes, and ensuring the execution of Power Generation services meets contractual agreements, design specifications, schedules, and budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in leadership and planning efforts to identify key success factors for the Power Generation crew.
  • Develop and implement organizational structure and processes to ensure effective execution of Power Generation services.
  • Oversee the execution of Power Generation services, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements, design specifications, schedules, and budget constraints.
  • Supervise and evaluate subcontractor performance to ensure high-quality work.
  • Regularly assess the quality and compliance of Power Generation service execution against contractual obligations and industry standards.
  • Provide updates and advisories to the project team regarding the status of Power Generation tasks, including issues, impacts, risks, and factors influencing costs.
  • Maintain and review short-range look-ahead plans, discussing any deviations or necessary adjustments with the General Foreman.
  • Review and monitor the cost and man-hour budget for the installation process, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Develop plans for equipment and tool requirements necessary for Power Generation projects and review these plans with the General Foreman to ensure all needs are met.
  • Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure high standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Work closely with other departments and teams to ensure that the Power Generation services are aligned with the overall project objectives and timelines.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED: Required as a basic educational foundation.
  • Relevant Industry Experience: 5+ years of experience in power generation, including direct experience with the types of generators and systems used by the organization.
  • OEM certification or equivalent required.
  • Leadership Experience: Experience in a supervisory or management role, demonstrating the ability to lead a team and manage projects effectively.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Must possess an active U.S Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required. Willingness to take a polygraph and upgrade clearance as required.

  • Decision-Making Ability: Strong decision-making skills to resolve issues quickly and effectively under pressure.
