About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Beverage Supervisor to join our team at AEG. As a Beverage Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the serving of guests in our venue dining areas and catering functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Service: Ensure that guests receive exceptional service, including the serving of meals and beverages.
  • Beverage Management: Supervise the service of beverages, including alcoholic beverages, and ensure that guests' IDs are verified for age requirements.
  • Order Management: Assist in recording guests' orders and relaying them to the kitchen via our Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Table Management: Ensure that tableware and linens are replaced as necessary, and that guests' meals are completed to their satisfaction.
  • Payment and Cash Handling: Compute the cost of meals, present guests with checks, accept payments, and provide change as necessary.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Maintain high standards of sanitation, health, and safety in work areas.
  • Event Setup: Supervise the setup of banquet functions, including linens, dishware, glassware, and silverware.
  • Employee Relations: Practice excellent human resources skills, including employee relations, corrective action, coaching, and counseling.
  • Special Events: Assist the management team with projects, including training, inventory, and special events.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 2-3 years' experience working in a supervisory capacity in a fast-paced restaurant or catering environment.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Certifications: Possess a valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit, if required by state or federal regulations.
  • Math Skills: Ability to calculate basic math functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
