Job Overview

Elevated Experiences is seeking a skilled Food and Beverage Manager to oversee the efficient operation of our full-service restaurant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising and executing all functions related to the restaurant's daily operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accommodate customer needs and effectively communicate these requirements to the staff.
  • Assist with inventory stocking as needed.
  • Set up and execute banquet events.
  • Develop and maintain wine knowledge.
  • Oversee and monitor portion control standards of beverages for the staff.
  • Resolve customer problems or complaints promptly.
  • Ensure accurate counting of all charge and cash purchases as employees depart.
  • Maintain a program for sound employee relations and safety.
  • Assign cleaning tasks to staff when necessary.
  • Uphold sanitation standards.
  • Orient new employees and provide initial on-the-job training.
  • Oversee training functions of the staff.
  • Develop and maintain an effective restaurant through training and motivation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Handle employee problems promptly and efficiently.
  • Schedule and train employees in accordance with company policies.
  • Efficiently handle cash-related issues.
  • Courteously address customer problems.
Requirements

To excel in this position, an individual must satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements below represent the necessary knowledge, skill, and ability.

Education and Experience

Six to eight years of related experience and training.

Language Ability

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.

Math Ability

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of cash terminals and computers.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise employees in the Food and Beverage Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also, directly supervises non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
