Position Summary

As a Senior Automation Testing Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing high-quality automated test scenarios utilizing advanced automation tools such as AccelQ, UI Path, and Power Automate. Collaborating closely with solution leads, business analysts, and product owners, you will ensure that business requirements are met effectively. Your role will also involve working with various members of the Digital Delivery team and the Federal Reserve National IT organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Integrate AccelQ into our CI/CD pipelines, potentially developing new infrastructure to support the testing environment.
  • Migrate existing test plans and frameworks to AccelQ.
  • Oversee multiple applications, including banking websites and security systems.
  • Establish a new testing practice, transitioning from manual to automated testing.
  • Implement continuous automated testing by integrating AccelQ with the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Design and maintain an automated regression test infrastructure to support comprehensive testing.
  • Develop and uphold automated test plans using AccelQ for various testing types, including functional, regression, and usability testing.
  • Regularly communicate progress and project status to stakeholders.
  • Assess and enhance the framework for automating functional testing.
  • Evaluate test automation strategies to identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Over 5 years of experience with AccelQ or similar automated testing platforms in an enterprise setting.
  • At least 2 years of experience implementing automated testing for AWS-hosted custom solutions.
  • Familiarity with the Agile software testing lifecycle, from initial smoke tests to production deployment.
  • Experience using AccelQ and GitLab for automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proven experience supporting mission-critical applications in a production environment.
  • Strong understanding of design patterns and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of software security principles and defensive coding practices.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or a Green Card holder with intent to become a U.S. Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of Git repositories and automated deployment processes.
  • Experience with UiPath or other RPA tools.
