Colony Tire Corporation is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex automotive issues, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:- Inspect and repair tires, wheels, and vehicles using hydraulic jacks and automotive lifts.
- Document work performed accurately and according to company policy.
- Identify and inflate tires in accordance with manufacturer's specifications.
- Replace valve stems and repair tires in accordance with industry accepted guidelines.
- Perform routine and scheduled maintenance, including front-end alignments and suspension system service.
- Confer with customers to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems and discuss work to be performed.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose problems with, and make repairs to minor electrical systems.
- High school or equivalency, and/or related experience is required.
- Mechanical knowledge and skills, including the ability to operate and control equipment and systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
The Diesel Mechanic will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
