Senior FoxPro Development Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Senior FoxPro Development Engineer to join our team at Syntricate Technologies. As a Senior FoxPro Development Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining FoxPro applications to support business requirements. You will collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, and translate them into technical specifications. Additionally, you will develop efficient and scalable database structures and queries in FoxPro, write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices, and perform code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards. If you have a strong understanding of relational database concepts and SQL, and experience with designing and optimizing database schemas and queries, we encourage you to apply for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain FoxPro applications to support business requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, and translate them into technical specifications.
- Develop efficient and scalable database structures and queries in FoxPro.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Perform code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing FoxPro applications.
- Optimize application performance and scalability.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in FoxPro development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in FoxPro development.
- Development experience on SQL database
- Proficiency in FoxPro programming language and development tools.
- Strong understanding of relational database concepts and SQL.
- Experience with designing and optimizing database schemas and queries.
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of other programming languages/platform and technologies like .Net, C#
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Certifications in FoxPro or related technologies.
