Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician (Gastroenterology) to join our team at the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with disorders of the gastrointestinal tract and liver.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease, Barrett's esophagus, dyspepsia, and other gastrointestinal disorders.
  • Perform endoscopic procedures, including upper and lower endoscopy, and care for patients in the outpatient clinic and inpatient setting.
  • Evaluate patients in outpatient clinics, perform inpatient consultations, and educate gastroenterology fellows, medical residents, and students.
  • Participate in assigned duties within Medical Service and qualify for a potential academic appointment at Loma Linda University and University of California Riverside.
Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or be eligible for citizenship.
  • Must have a Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
  • Must have a full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
  • Must have completed residency training in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
  • Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ABIM Board eligible/certified in Gastroenterology.
  • Clinician educator with experience in luminal gastroenterology and liver disease.
Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm, with on-call responsibilities including nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned.
