DevOps Automation Engineer

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a DevOps Automation Engineer, where you will be responsible for developing tools and environments to automate test execution and drive automation improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting development automated testing
  • Integrate standardized development tools into CI/CD environments working closely with teams outside of functional organization
  • Provide automation tools for engineering organizations working closely with Senior Leaders and Architects
  • Continuously monitor reliability of CI/CD pipelines and triage failures to identify trends and calls for action to Engineering
  • Maintain automation standards and best practices including documentation
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
  • Typically 4-6 years experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with automation tools and processes
  • Experience with continuous integration tools and source control tools. GitHub and Jenkins knowledge is a strong preference
  • Programming and scripting experience in any programming language is a must. Strong preference to Python
  • Knowledge of storage systems (filesystem, NFS, SMB, SSD, object storage, etc.) is a plus
  • Experience with design and integration of software running on multiple platform types
  • Understanding of software systems design tools, testing, coding, and debugging procedures
  • Experience with the general operation of Windows & Linux Operating systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
