We are currently in search of dedicated individuals to fill full-time or part-time positions with flexible day or night shifts. (Some holiday availability may be required.)

Position Summary

The Hospital Aide/Kennel Assistant plays a crucial role in maintaining the operational readiness and efficiency of our facility. This position involves working across various departments within the hospital, focusing on animal care, sanitation, and patient support. The Hospital Aide serves as a vital link between our patients, their owners, and the veterinary staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote a workplace culture grounded in our values: Respect, Continuous Learning, Integrity, Exceptional Service, and Enjoyment.
  • Ensure cleanliness and readiness of examination rooms and medical equipment.
  • Prepare kennels and cages for hospitalized animals.
  • Maintain hygiene in cages, pens, runs, and boarding areas.
  • Provide nourishment, hydration, grooming, and exercise for pets during their stay.
  • Keep the hospital environment clean through sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, waste disposal, and laundry.
  • Sanitize and maintain outdoor areas and hospital grounds.
  • Identify and report potential hazards or supply shortages.
  • Restock supplies and materials as needed.
  • Deliver professional, efficient, and high-quality care to clients while maximizing productivity.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that ensures compassionate and effective healthcare for pets.
  • Adhere to all facility policies, quality assurance standards, and minimum care requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
QualificationsExperience:
  • Prior experience in an animal care environment is preferred but not mandatory.
Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Basic problem-solving and judgment capabilities.
  • Empathy and compassion for animals and their owners.
  • Ability to interact professionally and compassionately with a diverse range of clients and colleagues.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Proactive in identifying issues and collaborating as a team player.
