Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Fiscal Clerk to provide office support for our client at the State of Connecticut Department in Hartford. As a key member of our team, you will work under the guidance of the Fiscal Administrator to maintain agency financial records, process payments, and review invoices for compliance with purchase orders.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Process payments and reconcile accounts
• Review invoices for compliance with purchase orders and ensure accuracy
• Assist in preparing financial statements, balances, and reconcile accounts
• Perform data entry and balance of accounts
• Provide grant management assistance

Requirements:

• Proficient in basic bookkeeping and MS Office, specifically Excel
• Strong arithmetic computation skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to operate a variety of office equipment, including personal computers and calculators
