Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head Chef to join our team at Snooze an A.M. Eatery. As a Head Chef, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring that our food meets the highest standards of quality and presentation. You will work closely with our management team to develop and implement menu items, manage inventory and supplies, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Quality and Presentation
    • Develop and implement menu items that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
    • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Monitor and maintain the quality of all food products, including ingredients, cooking methods, and presentation.
  • Kitchen Operations
    • Lead and manage kitchen staff to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
    • Develop and implement kitchen procedures and protocols to ensure that all food is prepared and served safely and efficiently.
    • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including equipment, utensils, and storage areas.
  • Inventory and Supplies
    • Manage inventory and supplies to ensure that all necessary ingredients and equipment are available when needed.
    • Develop and implement inventory management systems to minimize waste and optimize inventory levels.
    • Monitor and maintain the quality of all ingredients and supplies, including freshness, quality, and safety.
  • Team Management
    • Lead and manage kitchen staff to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
    • Develop and implement training programs to ensure that all staff members have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
    • Monitor and maintain the performance and productivity of all staff members, including attendance, punctuality, and work quality.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service and a positive dining experience.
    • Monitor and maintain the quality of all customer interactions, including phone calls, emails, and in-person interactions.
    • Develop and implement customer service protocols to ensure that all customers receive prompt and courteous service.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
    • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Head Chef or equivalent position in a full-service restaurant.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation and presentation.
    • Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to motivate and inspire staff members.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with staff members, management, and customers.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
