About the Opportunity
Hartford HealthCare (HHC) is seeking a skilled Weight Loss Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Medical & Surgical Weight Loss Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient care to patients primarily in Meriden, CT.
- Manage your own practice style while having the support and resources of a comprehensive weight loss program.
- No call required.
- Work in an office setting providing initial and follow-up consultations with medical weight loss patients, including prescribing, treating, and educating patients.
- Collaborate with physicians and Patient Navigators to coordinate patient care.
- Document care plans and track patient work-ups.
- Participate in bariatric seminars, work groups, and hospital committees.
Requirements
- Eligibility to be licensed in CT as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (APRN) is required.
- Eligibility to be certified as a Physician Assistant, Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), or Adult Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) is required.
- 1-2 years of experience practicing as an Advanced Practitioner is highly preferred.
