About the Role

Hartford HealthCare (HHC) is seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at the Hartford Hospital and surrounding sites in Hartford County. As a valued member of our team, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to oncology patients in outpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide triage and outpatient management of cancer patients, including urgent visits, chemotherapy pre-treatment visits, follow-up appointments, and ongoing survivorship care.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care to patients with various types of cancer.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities through Hartford HealthCare's unique relationship with Memorial Sloan Kettering.
  • Work a Monday-Friday daytime schedule with weekend call rotation.

Qualifications

  • Eligibility to be licensed in Connecticut as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) is required.
  • Eligibility to be certified as a Physician Assistant (PA) or National Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), or Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) is required.
  • Oncology experience as a Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, or RN is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience practicing as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is preferred.
