Nurse Program Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Program Manager to join our team at Children's National. This is a full-time position that will play a critical role in managing initiatives, processes, and projects in our prenatal, neonatal nursing program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a nurse training program and curriculum to support the growth and development of our nursing staff.
  • Collaborate with the Perinatal Pediatrics Institute and the Heart Center to ensure seamless integration of our programs.
  • Assess and prioritize wellbeing initiatives using qualitative and quantitative data sources that are representative of the nursing workforce.
  • Develop program budget, and monitor and adjust plan as resource requirements change.
  • Advocate for material, financial, and human resources to ensure program sustainability.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Required)
  • Master's Degree in nursing or healthcare program (Preferred)
  • 5 years minimum work experience, demonstrating progressive work-related responsibility and growth (Required)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong interpersonal, operations, and program management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Comfortable challenging organizational norms and accepted thinking to improve effectiveness.
