We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team at BluePearl Pet Hospital in Arden Hills, MN.

Position Overview

This is a full-time, overnight position that requires a high level of skill and expertise in veterinary care. As a Veterinary Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to our patients, working closely with our veterinarians and other support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia in patients, using anesthesia/monitoring equipment as needed.
  • Triage emergency cases, obtaining vital signs such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
  • Perform digital radiography, using proper technique and positioning patients as required.
  • Have a complete understanding of normal patient vital signs, including heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.
  • Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs, alerting veterinarians to changes and issues.
  • Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR as needed.
  • Properly calculate medical math, administering medications via appropriate routes and duration.
  • Be proficient in phlebotomy and placing intravenous catheters in all peripheral vessels.
  • Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
  • Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.
  • Have patience and empathy to address client concerns.
