Overview

Mission Veterinary Partners is seeking a dedicated Animal Care Technician to enhance our dynamic team.

Job Summary: The Animal Care Technician supports the medical team in the daily operations of an animal care facility, adhering to the policies and procedures of Mission Veterinary Partners. This position also involves providing medical assistance to patients as permitted by veterinary regulations.

Responsibilities

Your impact will be significant:

Uphold the Core Values and Mission Statement of Mission Veterinary Partners. Assist with all routine clinic operations. Engage in special cleaning tasks as needed. Provide client services including appointment scheduling, payment processing, and check-ins. Maintain excellent communication with clients. Accurately document all relevant medical, client, and case information in patient records. Review medical records and discharge instructions with clients. Answer phone calls in a polite and informative manner. Deliver patient care under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Abilities:

Proficiency in a variety of skills including laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, surgical, dental, and nursing techniques. Ability to maintain composure and patience in high-pressure situations and manage a fast-paced environment. Capacity to remain calm and effective during medical emergencies. Strong reasoning, memory, mathematical, and language skills necessary for job performance. Confidence and comfort around animals.
