Job Summary

The Certified Veterinary Technician provides medical care to patients and leads the medical support staff in a small animal facility, adhering to hospital policy and procedures. Responsibilities
  • Maintain and uphold the core values and mission statement of Mission Veterinary Partners.
  • Provide guidance to support staff to ensure a smooth shift operation.
  • Mentor team members for career advancement and personal development.
  • Contribute to 360-degree employee performance evaluations.
  • Provide patient care under the supervision of a DVM.
  • Record accurate medical, client, and case-related information in patient records.
  • Review medical records, estimates, and discharge instructions with clients.
  • Answer client inquiries about basic animal care and routine procedures.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proficiency in laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, surgery, dental, and nursing skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
  • Knowledge of prescription drugs, anesthesia, and recovery states.
  • Ability to give SQ, IM, and IV injections.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, state licensure, and 1+ year of veterinary industry experience.
