Join Our Team as an Emergency Veterinary Technician

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team at BluePearl Pet Hospital in Arden Hills, MN. As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our veterinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia in patients, utilizing anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
  • Triage emergency cases, obtaining vital signs such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
  • Perform digital radiography using proper technique, including patient positioning.
  • Have a complete understanding of normal patient vital signs, including heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.
  • Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs, alerting veterinarians to changes and issues.
  • Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
  • Properly calculate medical math, administering medications via appropriate routes and duration.
  • Be proficient in phlebotomy and placing intravenous catheters in all peripheral vessels.
  • Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
  • Have a passion for mentoring and training other coworkers.
  • Have patience and empathy to address client concerns.
