About the Role

Timmons Group is seeking a highly skilled Civil Project Engineer II/III to join our Private Land Development Group in Ellicott City, MD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop project plans using relevant software, modeling, and Civil 3D technology.
  • Perform calculations and problem-solving using engineering formulas and computer-aided tools.
  • Prepare specifications and materials for projects, utilizing research and manufacturing catalogs.
  • Complete design details and plan sets, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Conduct research and write objective summary reports for project completion and inspection.
  • Assist in preparing engineering and construction cost estimates.
  • Perform field observations, inspections, and data collection duties as directed by senior engineering staff.
  • Communicate effectively with client staff and internal design teams as directed by senior engineering staff.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
  • 2-10 years of experience in Land Development civil engineering, including residential neighborhood design and commercial/mixed-use development.
  • EIT certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is a must.
